SB16 Emulation for DOS programs

When SBEINIT.COM loads, it has an error that states:

"Could not allocate code/patch RAM below 4Mbyte boundary. Try loading SBEINIT.COM before SMARTDRV.EXE or minimizing VDISK RAM. Creative SB16 Emulation Drive NOT loading."

I am not using Smartdrive nor am I using VDISK RAM (at least I don't think I am). Any ideas?

Tricky.
The message you get is a standard one, and not related to your machine. It is just saying that it knows of a remedy if that us the case on your machine.

It also means that you are loading a lot into memory at startup. Try to reduce that to as little as possible, and see if that solves it. Since the soundcard needs to be loaded into 'low' memory, it simply tells you it cannot do so right now.
This can also depend upon the operating system used. If you are (still) on win95/98, then try to edit the config.sys adn/or autoexec.bat files (after you make backup off course of them files...)

Good luck!
